Miyashige White Daikon Radish stands out with its elongated, smooth body tapering to a fine point and a snow-white exterior. Crisp and juicy, this radish offers a mild flavor that is less peppery than common red radishes, with just a hint of sweetness. A versatile ingredient in the kitchen, it is often shredded or julienned for fresh salads, sliced for garnishing, or can be cooked in stews and soups, where it absorbs flavors brilliantly. Roasting or pickling further showcases its flavor and texture. This radish variant is a beloved component in Asian cuisine, frequently appearing in dishes like kimchi, sushi rolls, and as a crunchy accompaniment to sashimi. As a root vegetable, it is rich in vitamin C and includes a diet-friendly combination of low calories and high fiber.

About the Producer
Nicolas Donck, a Belgium native, relocated to Georgia and started Crystal Organic Farm back in the mid-90's with a mission to grow healthy, organic produce. Many say he is singlehandedly responsible for introducing Atlantans to many plants of the endive and chicory varieties that were already popular in Belgium. Along the way, Nicolas helped found the Morningside Farmers Market and eventually met the love of his life, and now farm partner, Jeni Jarrard-Donck. Jeni brings an extensive knowledge of medicinal herb cultivation and usage to the partnership, making Crystal Organic one of the most well-rounded and diverse farms in the State. Explore >
