Southern Swiss Dairy milk is “low temperature vat pasteurized” and not homogenized which allows the cream to rise to the top inside each jug. Brown Swiss Cow's milk has a high fat to protein ratio. This means that the milk is extremely rich. Their cows produce natural milk that is free of artificial growth hormones. 80% of the cow's diet is grown on farm and the remaining grain is not certified non GMO. Despite that, we are excited to feature a small, local farm from Georgia that is so close to our hub.
Southern Swiss Dairy is named after the Brown Swiss cows they raise that prouce a milk with a higher fat to protein ratio. This means that the milk is extremely rich. Jimmy and Ginny Frank have been farming for over 20 years. Ginny is a fourth generation dairy farmer. They bottle their cream-on-top milk onsite using a low vat pasteurization which allow some good bacteria to survive, antecdodatly making milk easier to digest and more nutritious. Their cows produce natural milk that is free of artificial growth hormones. 80% of the cows feed is grown on farm.
