All cattle at White Oak Pastures are grassfed and grass-finished. Processed on-farm in a USDA-inspected, zero-waste processing abattoir, their beef never leaves their possession until it's en route to Fresh Harvest! All of their steaks, roasts, organs, and bones are hand-butchered the old-fashioned way: by a man with a knife. Their cattle are Certified Grassfed by the American Grassfed Association, Certified Humane and Ecological Outcome Verified in the Land2Market Program. All of our livestock are raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, and added growth hormones.
Each grassfed flank steak weighs 10 ounces and is individually packed. A great lean steak for marinating and grilling, it is often used in fajitas, london broils, or enjoyed on its own! This steak comes from a strong, well-exercised muscle, and is best when sliced against the grain before serving to ensure greater tenderness.
