Cherimoya is heart shaped, green fruit from South America. Mark Twain dubbed this fruit as "the most delicious fruit known to man", with flavor notes of pineapple, strawberry, and banana.

The outer green scales are inedible, but the inside flesh is soft and creamy, with a strong, sweet flavor. Before diving in, be sure to remove the dark brown seeds, which are toxic to humans.
