Ginger, with its distinctive knotted and branched rhizome, is a celebrated culinary and medicinal root known for its pungent, spicy-sweet aroma and flavor. Its rough, tan outer skin hides a fibrous, juicy interior that ranges in color from pale yellow to ivory. A staple in global cuisines, ginger adds a warm, zesty kick to stir-fries, soups, marinades, and desserts. Often found grounding the flavors in a curry or brightening a fresh batch of cookies, ginger can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil or juice. This dynamic ingredient also brings a wealth of health benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties and digestive aids. Whether minced, grated, or sliced, ginger infuses dishes with a vibrant, fiery taste that is both invigorating and comforting.
At Fresh Harvest we prioritize working with local producers and upholding our sourcing standards. To curate the best quality and quantity of produce we will sometimes pull from a variety of producers. We look to other growing regions for those items that are impossible or difficult to consistently grow well in our region. Any produce coming from out-of-state will be clearly labelled with it's place of origin.
