Coffyn Pyes
The company name was inspired by the 12th century English term for food cooked into a pastry shell "coffyn” as a means of storage. The English loved these pastry cases so much that they developed the saying, "If it's good, tis better in a Coffyn"! Company founders, Maribeth and Smita, take pride in creating a delicious modern day Coffyn pye that is a welcome addition to a lunch box, a satisfying weeknight dinner, or appetizer during the “big game!”
