Bolero Carrots are a gardener's delight with their sturdy tops and smooth, cylindrical shape that tapers to a blunt end. These vibrant orange roots boast a crunchy texture and a sweet, earthy flavor with a refreshing aftertaste. Perfectly sized for snacking, Bolero Carrots also excel in both raw and cooked forms. Slice them for a colorful addition to salads, dice for heartwarming soups and stews, or roast whole to caramelized perfection. These nutrient-rich veggies are an excellent source of beta-carotene, fiber, vitamin K1, potassium, and antioxidants, making them a healthful choice for boosting vision and supporting a healthy diet.
Hickory Hill Farm is all about family. Back in 1852, this 200+ acre plot was gifted to the family as part of a land grant for a relative's service in the Revolutionary War. Now the Certified Organic farm is run by Garry and Susan Shaw along with their daughter, Jennifer Johns, and her husband Josh. Altogether, four generations of the Shaw family are currently living on or working this plot of land. Not to mention their many chickens, hogs, sheep, cattle, and horses!
