Green Garlic, an early harvest of traditional garlic, is cherished for its tender, mild, and nuanced flavor profile, which is less intense than its mature counterpart. The subtle punch of garlic is infused within the entire plant, from the white bulb to the delicate green stalks, both of which are edible. The stalk resembles that of a green onion, providing a visually appealing, contrasting hue of light green and white. Slightly milder and more herbaceous in taste compared to mature garlic cloves, Green Garlic is perfect for use in lighter dishes such as salads, dressings, marinades, and as a finishing garnish. This ingredient introduces a touch of garlic essence without overpowering a dish and adds a freshness that is ideal for springtime recipes.
