This year's Tupelo Honey crop was so special, we had to bring it back to our shop! Different environmental factors, such as heat, humidity, rainfall, and sunlight hours, determine how good the Tupelo harvest will be, and this year happened to be optimal on all fronts.
This supremely delicious Tupelo Honey was harvested in the South Georgia swamps surrounding the Altamaha River valley. It has notes of Jasmine flower, tangerine zest, cloves and baking spice, and a mild anise finish.
Honey Next Door takes the guess work out of "Georgia Honey" and produces honey only from Atlanta neighborhoods like Morningside, Buckhead, Decatur and more. They have cultivated over 150 hives across 15 different Atlanta neighborhoods, Tupelo from the South Georgia Swamps and Sourwood from the North Georgia Mountains.
