The Yellow Watermelon stands out with its sunny, golden-hued flesh encased in a thick, green rind striped with darker green. Serving as a unique variation to the classic red watermelon, this fruit offers a honeyed sweetness with a juicy crunch and a succulent texture that is both refreshing and hydrating. Larger and round or oblong in shape, it contains seeds that vary from black to small and white, which are often edible. Ideal for summer picnics and barbecues, Yellow Watermelon is perfect in fruit salads, salsas, or as a sweet, exotic complement to savory dishes. It can also be used to infuse water and create revitalizing beverages, chilled sorbets, or vibrant desserts. Full of vitamins A and C and free from cholesterol, this melon is a nourishing treat for warm days.

About the Producer
Mitch Lawson's farm, located on the fertile flood plains of the Oostanuala River in Northwest Georgia, has been growing certified organic produce since 2004. Very few other Georgia farms have such a longstanding tenure of organic certification. The 30 acres under cultivation is a lot to manage, but Mitch and his team make it look easy! Growing from only 2 acres back in the mid 2000's, Rise 'N Shine now produces over 40 types of organic fruits and veggies each year. Explore >
