Fuyu Persimmons, with their warm orange hue and squat, tomato-like shape, bring a touch of autumnal sweetness to the table. These non-astringent fruits are beloved for their crisp, succulent texture and honeyed flavor that hints at the spice of gingerbread when fully ripe. Whether consumed fresh, tossed into salads for a vibrant crunch, or baked into desserts for a caramelized treat, Fuyu Persimmons are as versatile as they are flavorful. Nutritionally, they are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, fiber, and antioxidants, making them as beneficial to the body as they are delightful to the palate.
Brothers Jimmy and Allen Miles started their farm in 1992 growing blueberries on 25 acres in Baxley, a small town in Southeast Georgia. They've since expanded their production to include strawberries, corn, and other organic produce, now grown on over 300 acres. Even though they now grow lots of other produce, there's still nothing like their plump and juicy blueberries!
