Thai Basil stands out in the herb world with its tender leaves, which radiate a deep green hue with an occasional purple tint. Serving as a critical component in Southeast Asian cuisine, this herb is recognized by its smaller, narrower leaves and a licorice-like scent with a hint of spicy sweetness. Employed frequently in stir-fries, soups, and curries, Thai Basil offers a robust flavor that can withstand prolonged cooking times. Often used as a garnish, its distinctive taste is most notable in the classic Thai dish, Pad Krapow—beef sautéed with Thai Basil leaves. Beyond its culinary use, Thai Basil is a delightful addition to beverages, infusing them with a note of complex spiciness that pairs well with fruits and spirits alike.

About the Producer
Paul and Lindsey Sorah started Hearts of Harvest farm with their friends Mark and Stephanie Golden back in 2017. They started out on 2 acres of land in Arnoldsville, Georgia and have since expanded to over a hundred, where they grow a wide range of vegetables, mushrooms, and flowers. A fun fact about Paul and Mark is that before starting the farm, they were in the same progressive hard rock band. There's a lot of musical talent on this farm! Explore >
