Organic strawberries are known for their exceptional sweetness and rich, juicy flavor. Grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, these berries are cultivated using sustainable farming practices that prioritize soil health and environmental well-being. Their vibrant red color and delicate texture make them a favorite for fresh snacking, baking, and homemade preserves. Because they are harvested at peak ripeness, they offer maximum freshness and superior taste. With a commitment to organic farming, these strawberries are not only delicious but also a healthy and eco-friendly choice.
Strawberries tend to soak up every bit of moisture, making them more likely to get mushy and spoil faster. Make sure to hold off on washing until you're ready to eat them.
Leave the stems on as long as possible to prolong their shelf life.
If you notice any spoiled berries in the container, remove them immediately.
If you don't plan to eat your strawberries right away, the best place for them is in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. Remove the berries from their original container, and store them whole and unwashed in a partially-closed container lined with paper towels to absorb any excess moisture, preferably in a single layer so they don't get crushed.
You can also slice and freeze for longer storage.
Brothers Jimmy and Allen Miles started their farm in 1992 growing blueberries on 25 acres in Baxley, a small town in Southeast Georgia. They've since expanded their production to include strawberries, corn, and other organic produce, now grown on over 300 acres. Even though they now grow lots of other produce, there's still nothing like their plump and juicy blueberries!
