Arugula, a vibrant and peppery leafy green, enchants the palate with its bold, nutty flavor. Its delicate, dark green leaves showcase a deeply lobed profile and tender, succulent texture. Often included in the mesclun mix, arugula adds a dynamic element to salads and sandwiches with its signature piquancy. This garden favorite also dresses up pizzas and pastas, wilts beautifully into warm dishes, and can serve as a stand-alone side when simply dressed with a lemon-olive oil vinaigrette. Beyond its culinary appeal, Arugula is rich in vitamin K, folate, and calcium, making it a healthful addition to any diet.
Keep dry and Keep Refrigerated. Storing the arugula in a plastic bag with a dry paper towel can help the greens stay dry. Kept dry and cool arugula can last up to two weeks
Mitch Lawson's farm, located on the fertile flood plains of the Oostanuala River in Northwest Georgia, has been growing certified organic produce since 2004. Very few other Georgia farms have such a longstanding tenure of organic certification. The 30 acres under cultivation is a lot to manage, but Mitch and his team make it look easy! Growing from only 2 acres back in the mid 2000's, Rise 'N Shine now produces over 40 types of organic fruits and veggies each year.
