Founder, Sonia, started this business as a way to share her nutritious, healthy food breakfast with others who have allergies or restricted diets. After being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and trying various medications, she discovered the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) and was able to manage her condition without medication. However, she missed the indulgence of sweets, so started baking with almond flour and other SCD-friendly ingredients. After years of experimentation, she was able to create delicious, gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free treats. Today, Paryani Foods has grown from Sonia's small home kitchen to selling at markets across the city. She is proud to help people following the Paleo or Celiac diets, as well as those with allergies. Their specialties include organic coconut flour cakes, almond flour breads, almond flour cookies, and vegan chocolate dates. Their sweets are naturally sweetened and free of high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, and additives, so they can be enjoyed by everyone.
