Three Easy Hibiscus Tea Recipes from Crystal Organic Farm

Here are not one, not two, but THREE variations on hibiscus tea from farmer, certified homeopath and wellness consultant Jeni Jarrod of Crystal Organic Farm. Each recipe is super easy and delicious!

Aside from being delicious, hibiscus tea is rich in Vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants, and has many potential health benefits.

Sun Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 pint hibiscus calyx
  • 1 quart water
  • Optional: fresh lemon, tulsi, mint, honey or stevia

Preparation

  1. Fill quart-sized mason jar with one pint of hibiscus calyx
  2. Fill to the top with water
  3. Set in the sun for 8 hours
  4. Strain & enjoy over ice!

Option to add: fresh lemon, tulsi, mint, honey or stevia

Bonus! Quick Cup of Hibiscus Tea

  1. Put 2-3 hibiscus calyx in a mug
  2. Pour boiling water over calyx
  3. Steep, covered, for 15 min
  4. Strain & enjoy!

Favorite Hibiscus Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 pint hibiscus calyx
  • 2-3 quarts water
  • Cinnamon
  • Cloves
  • Grated Ginger

Preparation

  1. Bring everything to a boil then immediately turn off, remove from heat & cover
  2. Let steep for around 2 hours (steep less or more, depending on how strong you like your tea)
  3. Add honey (if you like) while tea is still warm
  4. Strain and put in the fridge

Enjoy cold over ice or warm!
