Starting with fine flavor cacao Xocolatl sourced directly from their farmer partner in the forests of Nicaragua, they added only organic cane sugar and organic cocoa butter to make the purest dark chocolate with a hint of natural fruitiness characteristic of Nicaraguan cacao. They then hand-sprinkled dry-roasted almond pieces to the backs of each bar with a touch of sea salt steeped in aromatic vanilla for a satisfying energy boost in dark chocolate form.

About the Producer
Inspired by local chocolate makers in Costa Rica, Elaine & Matt flew back to Atlanta with bags packed full of Costa Rican cacao and spent the next year developing recipes, refining technique and reaching out to source raw cacao from different origins to highlight the ranging diversity of flavor naturally inherent in fine cacao.
