The Summer Cross White Daikon is a crisp and tender radish variety radiating a milky white hue from its smooth skin to its snowy flesh. Characterized by its elongated shape, this daikon can grow impressively long while maintaining a succulent and juicy consistency. Often appreciated raw for its mild spice and refreshing bite, it is also savored pickled, shredded in slaws, or sliced into salads. When cooked, the Summer Cross White Daikon softens and absorbs surrounding flavors beautifully, making it an excellent addition to stews, soups, and stir-fried dishes. It's a nourishing choice containing vitamin C, potassium, and is a good source of dietary fiber, which supports digestive health.

About the Producer
Hickory Hill Farm is all about family. Back in 1852, this 200+ acre plot was gifted to the family as part of a land grant for a relative's service in the Revolutionary War. Now the Certified Organic farm is run by Garry and Susan Shaw along with their daughter, Jennifer Johns, and her husband Josh. Altogether, four generations of the Shaw family are currently living on or working this plot of land. Not to mention their many chickens, hogs, sheep, cattle, and horses! Explore >
